About Long Lake

Long Lake covers 4,000 acres with a maximum depth of 74 feet, and is known for its excellent fishing. Its 99 miles of shoreline and spring-fed waters provide walleye, northern, big and small mouth bass, crappies and bluegills.

It’s been years since the Long Lake Chamber of Commerce obtained the permission from the State of Wisconsin to use the “Walleye Capital” tag for the 4,000 acres of water poured into a deformed U-shape.

But Long Lake, with its deep bays and rocky shores, continues to prove that it’s as good a walleye lake as any in northern Wisconsin… especially for the big ones!
